“Bonheur” is a French word meaning happiness or good luck.
The etymology of the word is bon (nice) + heur (time).
Aiming to create new values by combining the values of individuals and companies.
By doing so, aiming to give a wonderful time to individuals and companies, and ultimately their customers.
Based on this idea, Bonheur designs new communication originated from imagination and media.

History of Kumi Okazaki & Bonheur
After 20 years of experience mainly within Luxury fields, Kumi Okazaki opened her own Branding and PR consulting agency.
Born in a family running a 160-year-old kimono merchant, Kumi Okazaki grew up surrounded by the world of Japanese culture.
Studied in the UK while at university.
After graduation, worked as a PR assistant for an Italian luxury fashion brand, and then as a PR manager for an overseas fashion brand at a trading company.
PR team, Cartier Communication Department, Richemont Japan (2003-2015)
- As PR chief, communicated, interviewed and planned with various media.
- Responsible for numerous projects in collaboration with the Paris headquarters and the Asia team.
- In the Paris Cartier Foundation, a Cartier mécénat activity, responsible for the operational direction of the Japanese side of the Takeshi Kitano exhibition (2010). Conducted joint operation, co-ordination, facilitation and management with Paris, leading to a successful event.
Freelance PR (2016-2019)
- Italian Wine Franciacorta: Italian Embassy event support for 4th anniversary in Japan.
- Swiss Watch Century: customer treat event planning and management.
Director of Communications, Landscape Design Office (2019-2020)
- Planning and managing the publication of the designer’s 20th anniversary compilation book (from CCC Media).
- Planning and organising publication book talk events (at Tsutaya Daikanyama and Fukuoka Ropponmatsu).

- Founded Bonheur LLC to expand the freelance business.
- The company’s strength lies in its direct connections with creators, and editor-in-chiefs / directors of key media such as magazines/web/newspapers/TV, and also lies in capability of PR strategy planning, message development and content creation by making use of this connection.
